I want to get a chocolate brown lab and a burman kitten….?
is it a bad idea to get a kitten and a puppy at the same time ?
i want them to be friends thats all… plus i think they would look cute together
if its not a good idea to get them together, then which one should i get first and how long should i wait before getting the other one?
If you are able to handle two young and growing ‘babies’ then go for it. Just remember that each one is growing and each one is going to need it’s own puppy/kitten shots. It’s going to be a lot of work, and it will take a a chunk of money out. Also lab puppies chew on everything! And it’s really hard to break that habit. Just know that these animals are going to be probably more work than you think. But if you choose to get both of them, it doesn’t mean that they will like each other, some cats never get used to dogs, and some dogs are the same way with cats. When we got my Lab in 93 (may he RIP) He was a nut ball and chewed and still chewed everything no matter what it was. Labs are great dogs, but you should do research on the breed before you make an impulse buy, there is a lot of info out there about them, b/c they are the AKC’s #1 breed in the US. Just do the proper research before you make this decision, you don’t want to end up getting more than you bargained for.
(I would get the Lab first, it’s easier to teach him how to act around other animals as a puppy.)
